چکیده

Electrospinning, the only method that can continuously produce nanofibers, has been widely used to prepare nanofibers for tissue engineering applications. However, electrospinning is not suitable preparing clinically relevant three-dimensional (3D) nanofibrous scaffolds with hierarchical pore structures. In this study, recombinant human collagen (RHC)/chitosan prepared by were combined porous produced freeze drying fabricate 3D scaffolds. These exhibited high porosity (over 80%) and an interconnected structure (ranging from sub-micrometers 200 μm) covered nanofibers. As confirmed characterization results, these showed good swelling ability, stability, adequate mechanical strength, making it possible use in various addition, after seven days of cell culturing, NIH 3T3 was infiltrated into while maintaining its morphology superior proliferation viability. results indicated hold great promise

Electrospun Nanofibers in Tissue Engineering

The field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine is a fast growing scientific field. Many diseases and injuries that result in the loss of organ or tissue functions currently lack treatments which restore those functions and the patient to a desirable quality of life. Many current treatments could greatly benefit from incorporation of bioengineered organs and tissues, and investigation...

Fabrication of Electrospun Fibrous Meshes and 3D Porous Titanium Scaffolds for Tissue Engineering

Schwartz. In 2007, I came to Dr. Haifeng Chen's lab and started my journey of biomedical engineering. In my first four years of PhD study, Dr. Chen has exposed me to many different perspectives of being a good researcher, like how to think and work independently, and be creative. When the GaTech/PKU/Emory joint program first started, Dr. Chen was so supportive. Thanks to his support and referen...

Electrospun Nanofibers and their Application in Tissue Repair and Engineering

Introduction: Tissue engineering is the repair and replacement of damaged tissues and requires a combination of cells, growth factor and porous scaffolds. Scaffolds, as one of the main components in tissue engineering, are used as a template for tissue regeneration and induction and guidance of growth of the new and biologically active tissues. An ideal scaffold in tissue engineering, imitating...

Electrospun nanofibers for neural tissue engineering.

Biodegradable nanofibers produced by electrospinning represent a new class of promising scaffolds to support nerve regeneration. We begin with a brief discussion on the electrospinning of nanofibers and methods for controlling the structure, porosity, and alignment of the electrospun nanofibers. The methods include control of the nanoscale morphology and microscale alignment of the nanofibers, ...

Electrospun nanostructured scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.

Despite being known for decades (since 1934), electrospinning has emerged recently as a very widespread technology to produce synthetic nanofibrous structures. These structures have morphologies and fiber diameters in a range comparable with those found in the extracellular matrix of human tissues. Therefore, nanofibrous scaffolds are intended to provide improved environments for cell attachmen...
